The Herringbone parquet floor differs from the Chevron pattern in several key ways.
Herringbone features a distinctive look with right-angle (90°) assembly, creating a zigzag effect that visually enlarges the space. Unlike Chevron, where the boards are cut at an angle to form a continuous V shape, Herringbone boards are rectangular and laid perpendicular to each other.
This pattern requires precise installation based on a carefully designed layout plan, usually starting from the centre of the room. For an optimal result, it is recommended to allow for an additional 12% in waste during installation.
